The Ultimate version of the Spider-Man mythos reimagines the series by introducing edgier (and frequently younger) iterations of well-known heroes and villains from the Marvel universe. During these adventures, Spider-Man tries to stop Venom from killing innocent people, while Venom tries to escape being manipulated by S.H.I.E.L.D.’s schemes. Ultimate Spider-Man chronicles both of their adventures which were scripted by Brian Michael Bendis. Eddie was looking for the scientific heritage left by his father when he came into contact with a symbiotic suit that altered his appearance and turned him into the monstrous Venom. Peter transforms into Spider-Man once he dons the mask, web shooters, and suit. Peter Parker, at 15 years old, was bitten by a genetically modified spider, and as a result, he developed superhuman abilities after the bite, including enhanced speed, strength, and agility, as well as the ability to cling to vertical surfaces like a spider.
